7 Questions that Rattle in the Minds of Most Men (Men Only)

July 18th, 2018

Being a male is easy. Being a man is daunting.

The pressures of manhood can be enormous, and they're only intensified by the mixed messages you receive from culture. Sometimes it seems like everyone wants something from you. Does being a real man mean having a perfect family, a corner office, a luxury car, and a massive home. Or, is there more to life, a source of deeper satisfaction?

The Bible has some surprising and counterintuitive things to say about being a man. During the seven sessions, you'll be introduced to seven that rattle in the minds of most men.

Study of the Book of James: This Changes Everything

July 18th, 2018

What does following Christ really look like? How does being a Christian change my life? The answer to these questions is revealed in the Epistle of James. Unfortunately many Christians don't allow their faith in Christ to impact the way they live from day to day. They reserve spiritual concerns for Sundays and disconnect the gospel from "real life," compromising following Christ for being "a Christian." James insists that real faith impacts every aspect of our lives.

Marriage: Why do we do the things we do?

July 18th, 2018

In marriage, we do things and say things and don't know why. We assume it's because "that's just the way we are." Many times these patters don't bring life to the relationship, they bring conflict, hurt, and disappointment. Perhaps there is more going on. This study will help us understand our behaviors and words in new and fresh ways.

Kids Hope USA Training

July 29th, 2018

Kids Hope USA Training

Kids Hope USA develops these one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships.

Kids Hope USA mentors spend just one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed.

You can change a life…and that’s no small change.

Training is required for all Foothills church partners who are interested in mentoring a child at Rockford Elementary.

After training you will be fully prepared to engage in a meaningful relationship with a child that will impact both of your lives.

Some items that will be covered in the training include:
-when do I mentor
-how do I get matched with a child
-what are the does and don'ts of mentoring
-how long is the commitment
-and much much more

Training will include lunch and will be held in the Gallery. Be prepared to stay the entire time.

Childcare is provided. Please register yourself for the training and each individual child that will need care.

Camp 3 - Equip to Lead

August 4th, 2018

Camp 3 - Equip to Lead

After partnering with FC in BaseCamp, and discovering your ministry “sweet spot” in Camp 2, you are ready for Camp 3. Camp 3 takes a deeper look into discipleship, leadership, and the execution of our intentional relational process. We will learn how to identify where people are in their spiritual journey and develop a plan for helping them intentionally grow. In Camp 3, you'll experience interactive training in a fun environment. It takes place on a Saturday morning from 8:30am – 1pm.

Breakfast, lunch and childcare are provided. Please register for attendance and childcare.

August 5th - August 19th, 2018

BASECAMP is a class that allows our staff the opportunity to share who we are and what we believe. You'll hear about our vision and beliefs. We’ll share our discipleship strategy and explain avenues for you to connect with other believers and serve at FC. You must complete each session to become a partner. Becoming a partner with our church means that you want to engage the mission of God and take part in the vision of Foothills. We like to use the word “partner” because we want people to understand that we expect everyone to get involved in the mission of God that He has given to the church.
